How many payment stages can I add?
As many as you need. Most contractors use 2–4 stages: deposit, milestone payment, and final balance.
When does the customer see the payment link?
Only when you release a stage. Pending stages are shown on the estimate overview but the pay button is not active until you choose to release it.
What if the customer doesn't pay the released stage?
You'll see the unpaid status on your dashboard. The payment link stays active — you can send a reminder email manually or follow up directly.
Do payment stages work with Stripe?
Yes. Each stage creates a separate Stripe checkout. Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are all accepted.
